On the topic of Gaelic, looking through the beta3 Avatar names I saw a few names I recognised, Cu Chulainn, the greatest of all Irish hereos and Diarmuid, from the story of Diarmuid and Gráinne. And one other name, Manach, which is either taken from the Irish name for the County Fermanagh, Fhear Manach, or the original source, Manach, meaning Monk. It's hard to say which it's sourced from, but Monk would be appropriate for an Avatara.
