Am I mistaken...?

I was looking through various books on Celtic mythology I have, and I'm pretty sure the name Rhiannon (or a close variant) pops up. The actual book is about seven hundred miles away from me now, so I can't verify this. Either way, I always had something of a gut feeling that that was more of a Celtic reference than a Greek reference. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, I have never heard anyone make mention that one berzerk flavor text is lifted directly from history: "A berserk at the Stair of Grief, having been told that the hosts of the Soulless were so many that their spears would hide the sun, is said to have replied 'Then we shall fight them in the shade.'" I'm pretty sure this was said by a Spartan general in reference to the number of Persian archers they faced. To make matters worse, I think the general supposedly said it before the battle of Thermopylae (the Marathon references abound). Can anyone confirm or refute these claims?
