the water disrupting their minds is rather interesting. it reminds me of a series that i am reading, the magic of recluse series by l.e. modessit, that is based on the concept that the world is made of a balance of order and chaos. it is interesting that you put it that way because, in the series, the chaos wizards cannot control or work with water, because of its underlying order.
