In Response To: damning arguments of Christmas past (Welly)

: Totally true... Maybe when Myrdred lost his link to
: Balor, he couldn't any longer Bind so many people at
: once? It coincides with this idea of dreams depending
: on a sorcerer's power.
Yeah, like Balor was a source of more magical energy for them to draw on? That would make sense.

: I just refuse to
: believe the idea that a corpse is capable of defeating
: an uber-skilled Light archmage.
Given that some Shades are former Avatara, why is it so hard to believe that they could kill a still mortal one? They have all the advantages of Undeath (resilience to pain, poisons etc.), coupled with years more experience than guys such as Alric and Rabican. All things considered, you'd assume that a Shade was *more* powerful- not less.

: So, I do agree with that, and that there are other magics
: besides Dreams, yet I still stand behind my ole theory
: that all the undead we see are created by the Unlife
: Dream.
I could agree with that, in game effects should not mess with story. I mean, if we went by in-game occurences, the Blood Fever is weak, and Archers walk at a merry pace whilst pursued by Trow. Must be some fir'Bolg fetish for kicking...

: Let the good times roll
Whoot!
