I found this interesting...
I was playing Myth: TFL and was watching the beginning video. I noticed it referred to TFL as ancient history. This being said it would be safe to assume that the darkness light sequence was broken. I would assume that the beginning of sequence being broken would be a big part of history and therefore retold hence TFL. I also would imagine that if the sequence was not broken the people who are telling the story of TFL would not really care what happened in one of those sequences. Just my thoughts.
Oh another note:
I know this has probably been established already so if it has just ignore this:
The author of the journal in TFL has to be a footman. Here's why:
In the mission where you have to draw the enemy army across the bridge, the journal writer says he was one of those picked to complete the task. There are only footmen and archers in the level. You can rule out him being an archer since in the intro in the manual says he helped his grandfather in the fields (or something like that). This would rule out the archers since they came from the ermine and probably wouldn't be working in the field. Again just my thoughts.
If any of this is redundant and old news just ignore the post and it will go away after a while....
