: Yeah, she did look more human in the TFL postgame. So
: maybe the SB form is a result of her resurrection
: through Tramist's Mirror.
: Was she as powerful before the resurrection? I guess
: we'll never really know. I'd guess no, since the
: resurrection has clearly bulked her up. Not to mention
: let her fly etc.
By GURPS' account (and I tend to agree), she was significantly more powerful before the resurrection. Her Whisper Dream (which was sorta kinda implemented in M2, but it's supposed to have a powerful mental component) almost wiped out Rabican in one shot...it was only the vanity trick that let him prevail. Before that she was pretty much unbeatable.
M2 Shiver, you can take a fair amount of her health down without even using Myrdred...you only lose that way because she's so speedy. She may be physically as strong or stronger than before, but she's lost her mental equilibrium (probably permanent rage at her consciousness of ugliness now) and I think that impacts the effectiveness of her spells.
: Which is more generally accepted?
Um. I would lean toward the GURPS version since TFL/M2 describe the big D as "an Avatara of the Wolf Age," so I don't think it makes much sense if he gets kicked out of the Avatara shortly after the Wolf Age begins. But a lot more people have played M3 than read GURPS, so if you're looking at it democratically, the M3 answer would win I'm sure. :-)
: IMHO I think Bonesplitter is more of a male name, but
: that's just me. Were there many/any female Myrmidons
: (aside from Ravannah)? I still think that it seems
: more masculine then feminine. But it all depends on
: whether or not there are female Myrms.
We've argued over it in the past. I don't think you can tell whether in-game Myrmidons are male or female; and if a Myrmidon gal was fighting alongside the menfolk, I don't see why she wouldn't be honored with a similar name.
You don't actually *see* any lady Myrmidons in-game in M3 besides Ravanna...the Myrms are just represented by Zerks IIRC.
: True. I prefer her as the Voiceless One to Bonesplitter.
: Definately suits her. Perhaps her sonic powers (the
: ripple attack strikes me as a sonic attack rather than
: an elemental one) are a result of her ressurection as
Could be...somehow she got her voice back and started using it with a vengeance. :-)
: That is cool. Where did the Flood and Famine etc. come
: from? If it weren't for the 'Daughter' at the start,
: I'd almost give the Lurker title to SB (since he is
: Twice Born).
I don't know where that title came from. Could be GURPS just made it up after looking at the titles for folks like SB. Could also be that Bungie came up with the title long ago and then borrowed the "Twice Born" part for SB, just as they (probably) borrowed the Faceless Man visual concept for him.
: You jest, surely?
