well, HGK even if you've been here long enough the obvious questions still pile up... they generate the responses though, keep the forum alive!
In myth 3 in the seige level if you look out you'll notice a river and grass outside of the desert. if you go by myth 3 it seems that Soulblighter used the Sunhammer (Remember what it did to the trow and that was IN game... OUT of game in story things are always 100x more powerfull... except maybe balmung) well so i think we are to assume that Soulblighter used the Sunhammer on the cath bruig and instantly vaporized either just muirthemne (or if you beleive Soublighter's powers are godly) the entire empire...

actually scratch that last bit, is't there a whole thing about Balor PERSONALLY invading capturing and destroying muirthemne with himself and his own personal army and after destroying muirthemne letting soulblighter loose (with his trusty sunhammer we could assume) and destroy the rest of the empire... I remember the heron guards being discraced because balor raised their city also they shouldn't be too discrased if they weren't around to 'deffend' their city if everyone got vapirized anyway...
