Bahl'al, The Watcher, Unlife, etc

Hi all. I'm in a hurry so I'll make this short.

First of all, Hi Loki, welcome to the forum, and thanks for the new ideas generating such increased discussion here. But please don't start off a thread by insulting me.

Now, comments on the various points in these recent threads...

Somewhere in the Myth II manual or in some promotional material for the game, it states that Soulblighter "learned Balor's greatest secret - the reanimation of the dead" or some such. I'll let someone else finds a source to quote for me. Therefore it obviously wasn't JUST Bahl'al who could ressurect the dead, then, if it was Balor's "greatest secret" and Soulblighter learned it too. Admittedly the story has undergone a lot of change through the development of the various games, and I believe initially that the Dream of Unlife was meant to be the spell which created undead, but it now seems to be something different, or at least to have been taught to others besides Bahl'al.

As for the association of Tyr, The Watcher and The Deceiver did not have it out for the city in the Wind Age as Loki assumes. It specifically states that that battle was 12 years before TFL, I believe in the narration for Seven Gates. It is possible that Bahl'al (whether or not he is the Watcher) could have marched his Thrall on the city another time, true; but it seems the logical assumption is that the assault on Tyr spoken of in the TFL flavor texts is the same battle for Tyr spoken of elsewhere in TFL.

The "Children of Bahl'al" association of Thrall actually comes from Bungie's own prerelease site, not Eidos'. I believe they also once mentioned the prerelease name Ashfear (Balor) once, too.

There are other things, but I don't recall them, and I have a lot of work to do tonight. Later.
