nordic mythology

I am surprised that nobody picked up on the thrall in norse mythology. Thrall was the term used for serfs, and there is a story (to which I could find no myth correlation) about there birth. So, the serfs/slaves in norse mythology were called thrall, after there ancestor Thrall. Then there is the river Gioll, which is the border of Nifl-heim, which is a very bad place (remember how much fun you had after crossing the gjol). I would talk about dwarves, but they've been in popular fantasy for so long that it's hard to say if there is much norse influence in myth's dwarves. And, of course, Tyr has one hand, the Watcher has one arm, and that's about it. And Balmung, Sigmunds sword, that too. So, why when I looked in the general mythology secion was there nothing on the norse. Oh, and kudos on the Celtic mythology section, Gholsbane.
