Hey folks,
I was just wondering about everyone's opinion on the validity of the Myth 3 storyline? I know the journal entries are posted under the Legends and Lore section but why has the encyclopedia not been updated yet? Such as posting that the Head is in fact the Warlock Leader Mjarrin? Is it just lack of time, interest, and/or the dwindling number of current Mythers (believe me I understand, myth websites seemed to have slowly become extinct or put on the back burner since I was a frequent Myther back in '99), or is it because a lot of people consider Myth 3 a 3rd party application of the Myth series? Just Curious.
Personally I think the storyline of M3 was designed to connect the loose ends of the original series (Why the Head hates Balor, why the Deciever and the Watcher war with one another, how Myrdred got the name the Deciever, etc.), and all things considered (the takeover of Bungie by Bill Gates) is a good addition the the series in terms of storyline.
