Moagim and Mjarin

Moagim was supposedly only a pawn of Mjarin, and Mjarin was later revealed to be The Leveller. But then why did the Myth I journal writer say that Connacht imprisoned the Myrkridia and drove the evil Moagim from the earth, instead of the evil Mjarin? I'd like to know whether this is just another moronic Myth III discrepancy, or whether it is actually a Bungie-spawned discrepancy (Gasp!).
