Settling the Canon Debate

Ok, I feel it's time I actually threw some of my weight around here and used my Codex-like knowledge of the Absolute Tru7h to set some things straight:

Gene Seabolt, the author of GURPS, evidently had extensive access to genuine Bungie information which was not available anywhere but from the mouths of Bungie themselves. This is deducable because it contains info which was on the prerelease pages many years ago, but which Seabolt (A) Wouldn't have known where to find and (B) Would have gotten 404 errors on unless he knew about the Internet WayBack Machine. So logically, if it wasn't available on the internet anywhere, but it was real Bungie information (as can be verified on the prerelease pages), then it must have come from Bungie. Therefore Seabolt had access to Bungie information, either in written documentation or straight from the horses' mouths.

Scott Campbell, the lead designer on M3 and the guy who wrote all of its story and the rather large expanded universe behind it (I have to give him credit for that, he did outdo at least what I've seen of Bungie's work in the effort he went through to know and document everything about the universe he was writing in)... Bungie didn't give him much more documentation than the proverbial 'pizza box with "Cliche" and "Non-Cliche" columns'. So most of the 'new' info in M3 he either got out of GURPS, or made up on his own.

So that's that.
