We have all heard of the 49 dreams of wyrd.
But we know little about them.
Off the top of my head:
7*7=49, 7 being bungies magic number
they are all pieces of wyrds One Dream
they are scattered and people try to put them all back together
they were shattered by the dark gods (i think)
each of them grants the person who knows it a powerful ability
I have a bunch of questions about these :) I'll give my own view as i go along, too.
One:
What do these dreams look like? Are they precious gemstones? Pieces of a statue? Glowing balls of light?
I am currently under the impression that its more of an engraving set into gems or stone, probably in cryptic unknown languages (except by those who are powerful enough to decypher them, therefore keeping normal men from possessing dream powers). The finder reads the runes, and when they understand the words they are infused wtih its powers.
Two:
How are they supposed to be "joined back together"?
I believe that once a being is infused with all 49 dreams, he himself acts as the new One Dream.
Three:
What the hell happens to someone who becomes the one dream?
I have no clue. They could either become some god like being, such as the reincarnation of Wyrd. Or perhaps its power spreads and the world will become as Wyrd first saw it.
Four:
Where are the dreams?
Some i think are quite common (dispersal dream, etc), some are hidden. A few are posessed by only one or possibly two people who have found it (the Binding Dream, Tremor Dream, Whisper Dream, etc). Many are as yet undiscovered.
Five:
What do these dreams do?
These dreams most likely infuse the posessor with not just a specific power, but an understanding of a number of powers under one topic, so to speak. I cant seem to think of something as powerful as a Dream as being just a single spell (albeit a damn powerful spell). More like a type of control over a certain type of magic.
Six:
Who has what dreams?
Who do we know of that possesses dreams, and which do they posess?
Off the top of my head-
Alric-Dispersal Dream (MUST have more, not sure what they are though)
Balor-i'd be willing to say that his super lightning strike thingy is a dream, but cant think of the name of it
Shiver-Whisper, Tremor
Watcher-Unlife, probably dispersal (since all his shades have it)
Shades-dispersal, god only knows what else
Rabican-unknown, though we know he participated in a "dream duel" with shiver
rest of the nine (especially murgen, who i'm most interested in)-unknown
Deceiver-Binding dream
Summonor-some sort of teleportation dream
Mazzarin-Unknown (possibly dispersal, since his shade wields it)
