: I would rather not get all uppity here, but I've already
: written most of these scripts already. The problem
: with a lot of films that have been adapted from books
: and/or games, is that the original story in its
: original form gets all twisted and mutilated by the
: time it gets to the screen. When I saw "Great
: Expectations" and "I Know What You Did Last
: Summer," I had to question whether the
: screenwriters actually read the books.
Yeah, I just hope that doesn't happen to Myth in its movie form. :)
: I have stayed as close as possible to the original story.
: Sure, here and there you have to put in little
: tid-bits of information and minor characters to make
: the story understandable outside of gameplay. Also, I
: don't feel that mixing up the order of the films/games
: would be true to Myth either.
: My idea is this:
: Film 1: Myth:TFL
: Film 2: Myth II:SB
: Film 3: Myth III:WA
I agree to this order, and that Chimera is a small movie included with the series.
: Plain and simple, just like the game series. Chimera, as
: I stated not too long ago, I am writing as a
: featurette. Only about 45-60 minutes long, and to be,
: say, a companion to the Myth 2:SB Special Edition DVD
: (or something to that nature). Myth III I am still
: tinkering with, because I don't like the way it was
: put together. Too many mysteries conveniently solved
: for us. That's what made TFL and SB good is that we
: didn't know the whole truth. MWA came along and
: answered it all for us, thereby making the prospect of
: a Myth IV not so exciting. What mysteries are left to
: unfold?
Yes... exactly. :)
: If the films are put together in the order of the games,
: then a Finn and Soulblighter moment wouldn't make
: sense. Don't try and confuse the audience any more
: than we have to. And, to put the films in any other
: order would give us less to be excited about when TFL
: and SB came around. Nothing would be unknown to the
: audience by then if you showed MWA first.

Well about Finn in the TFL movie... it will be another mystery in the TFL movie. Think about it, we would think who is this guy?... maybe just another Jman... then on the 3rd movie Myth 3 would show at like the end of the movie a child named Finn... Connacht could have gotten a vision of the future where Finn fights SB (like a flashback to TFL instead its to the future), but doesn't tell Damas or anybody else. Of course we would have to hide the fact that Finn is Damas's son in TFL. Finn would have his Heron name in TFL, and maybe he is shown with the men who are going to cut Balor's head.... then he sees Balor and gets a flash back of him as Connacht talking to Damas his father.... and then Finn is shown again at The Great Devoid. Why would he be shown at Rhi'Anon? Well in the flashback they could have Damas calling him Finn. A short flashback that would be blurry cuz it happened so long ago. That way when Myth 3 comes along at the end they would understand who that TFL Jman was. But its just an idea. It could be left out from the storyline, but I am just trying to make it fit better if it does stay part of it. So people see Damas's human side... that he had a child he cared about and as Soulblighter he didn't care about. But thats it... nothing more... nothing less.
Myth 3's storyline should be like a main source for the skeleton of the Myth 3 movie storyline. That way Myth 3 movie would have some similarities but not all to Mumbo Jumbos' Myth 3's storyline.
