I would like to point out two aspects of the Delusions section article "Names of the Fallen." First of all, the name "Bonesplitter" points to The Watcher, who snapped off his arm at the elbow to escape his prison. Second, remember the text about Soulblighter in the Myth II prologue: "-the towering, mad thing who cut off his own face and tore out his own heart as part of a ritual too dark to speak of". While Soulblighter's entire face is not missing, enough of it is to warrant this text, and thus enough to warrant Soulblighter getting the name "The Faceless Man."
My theory about this is as follows: the prerelease notice with these two redundant names was based around long-ago brainstorming which had yielded the names Soulblighter and the Watcher, as well as two characters, one who had split his bone at the elbow (Bonesplitter) and one who had ripped off his face (The Faceless Man). Bungie latered merged the characters, but wanted six of these menacing, cool names for the prerelease announcement, and so brought back the Faceless Man and Bonesplitter. Then they decided that they wanted six Fallen Lords, possibly for post-SB campaigns, and so Myth fans assumed the six names were seperate.
