TFL Introduction

In the Myth TFL introduction a berserk delivers "the Head" to Alric who is in a tent with two other people.
Who are they? One of them looks like a journeyman, and the other seems to be some type of mage but does anyone have a better guess then that?
Also are Alric and his army doing camped outside Muirthemne?
(presumably some distance from but not THAT far away)
Besides the Head and the Eblis stone there is really nothing left in the city of value (The Ibis Crown and Balmung, actually which brings up another question)
If Alric is able to get at an Eblis Stone (presumably from Muirthemne) why doesn't he go for the Ibis Crown and Balmung? Of course you need about 10-20 warriors (using the term to just mean soldiers) in that scenario to recover the Crown and Balmung, but surely Truan of the Hundred Battles and/or one his Berserk buddies could have gotten them.
