Celtic Mythology and Myth

Just thought I'd post something I saw today. I'm assuming you've already read the article, it's just a small extra point. After Cuchulainn's (Balor's in Myth) death against the war goddess Morrigan, only Morrigan, in the form of a crow, was brave enough to touch him. After Balor dies, only a great warrior/general/sorceror (pretty godlike then), Soulblighter, who is known for turning into crows, dares to retrive Balor's head from the light, but is forced to turn into crows at the end.
Also, one of Cuchulainn's eyes became tiny and sunk into the back of his head, whereas the other grew huge and red. This only happened in battle. This link might be a bit tenuous, but since it only happened in battle, I think that maybe the big red round object (his eye) was the astethic inspiration for the big red round Eblis stone. Aslo remember that in Celtic mythology Balor had one eye which could kill anything it saw, the stone allowed Balor to be killed once it was revelaed and had a chance to "look" at him: a sense of mythological irony on Bungie's part? Talking of eye-related irony, the Eye of Thalor in Myth III allows Thalor to return to life, a kind of ironic twist on Celtic-Balor's eye.
