That doesn't make any sense - how could the narrator of Myth 2 be a bowman if he wants to join the Heron Gaurd? If you'll remember, bowmen first of all aren't any good at close combat - all they have is a dagger. Second of all, back in the days of the Cath Bruig empire, there were two sets of armed forces (humans): the Heron Gaurd and the Imperial Bowmen, or something like that. I forget where I read it, but it was somewhere on bungie.org.
A bowmen would therefore want to join the ranks of the latter, and even if they wanted to be part of the Heron Gaurd, they'd probably wait for the time after to compete in the fighting, because they would prbly want to train...
