Ravanna/Ravana?

I was recently studying India in school, and I noticed that the demon-king from the Ramayana was called Ravana (one "n"). That's very similar to one of Shiver's names, Ravanna (two "n"s) and I was sort of wondering what people thought about that. Is there any sort of connection, or am I just seeing things? After all, Ravana was a demon, not undead, and he was a guy. Also, he had twenty arms. I'm not sure that there is any connection other than the name, but if you know of any, please respond.
