Okay so I read that thing in the Delusions section about "The Black Company" and how it is related to Myth.
Anyone read Robert Jordans "the Wheel of Time" series? It fits Myth like a glove. Look at these comparisons I've made:
People:
Balor - The Dark One
The Leveller - The Dark One
Soulblighter - Sightblinder or Soulsbane
The Deceiver - Betrayer of Hope
The Fallen Lords - The Forsaken
Mazzarin - Mazrim
Bahl'al - Be'lal
Shiver - Lanfear
Heron Guard - Blade Masters (with Heron blades)
Trow/Calliaech - Ogier (both are builders)
Forest Giants - The Green Man
Hero of the Light - Lews Therin Telamon
Myrkridia - Trollocs
Mauls - Trollocs
Bre'unor - Wolf Brothers
Soulless - Soulless
Warlocks - Male Aes Sedai (both are mad)
Places:
The Barrier - The Blight
Untamed Lands - Aiel Waste
Dream Duels - Fighting in Dreams can hurt...
Muirthemne - Manetheren (both were destroyed at some time)
Tyr - Tear (come on, it don't get more obvious)
The Drowned Kingdom - The Drowned Lands
Cloudspine - Spine of the World
Things:
Eblis Stones - Ta'Angreal
World Knot - Waygates or Portal Stones
Balamung - Callandor
Lightning Bow - Birgitte’s Lightning Bow
Other:
Both Maps look very similar
Soulblighters turns to crows and the Dark one uses crows for reconnaissance
Heron guard resemble japanese warriors while the Heron marked blades in TWOT resemble a very japaese style.
Fetches are another name for Myrddraal
Great Comet is a similar thing to the Great Serpent.
I think that this is a very very close match to Myth. I gathered all this information and I have only read 3 out of the 9 Wheel of Time books. Just goes to show.
