Help help. Mac user, no multiplayer

I cannot create a Gamespy profile. whenever I get to the "nickname selection" screen, the game becomes wholly unresponsive the second I enter a nickname. Any help? I'm running Myth under OS 10.1, using a Geforce 3 Graphics card (which I believe is causing the random crashes I'm also experiencing)

Basically I just want help on how to create a profile outside of Myth, or find a way to make Myth work AS IT SHOULD. Man, MS is not doing good with bungie.
