Llancarfan or Muirthemne?

Which is the capital of the Cath Bruig empire?
Throughout Myth 3 it is clearly stated that Llancarfan is the seat of the Emperor and the capital city of the Cath Bruig empire.

However in Myth 2 when Alric is crowned king, he declares the city Muirthemne, the capital of the Cath Bruig empire reborn.

Still, the Smiths of Muirthemne existed at the time of Connaught (given the awesome Dwarf levels in Myth 3)
and resided inside Llancarfan. So are they two names for the same place, or different places entirely?
