Well, Forrest, I certainly don't hate it, and that's a plus! :-) The earthtone is great and used very well. There are a couple things to fix,, like the links to the rest of the site at the top having the white box (how to masks work again?), but it seems otherwise well-done.
I must confess, though, that the old look was truly classic. I fell in love with that look, and haven't left since. It was a relic from the sister-site: the old Mill. Personally, I feel like my house just got some new wall-paper while I was sleeping. It looks nice and all, but I think I might have liked it a bit more how it was before.
The only major problem I can see is the text color, such as for the forums. It's a shade of grey not too far from the background earthtone. You may want to darken that to black so things aren't an eyesore to read. The greatest thing about this forum has always been how wonderful and easy it is to read the loads and loads of material while still being asthetically pleased.
Well, overall, it's definitely better than the MWA forum :-), and I'm here, aren't I?
