Why Soulblighter Was the Leveller (M3 spoiler)

-----------------------------
MAJOR MYTH III SPOILER BELOW
-----------------------------

The only proof against this theory was at the end of M3, when Connacht tells Damas that he'll return in a thousand years to destroy everything. This, however, is speculation on the behalf of a mortal man -- there is no guarantee the leveller would choose to resurrect Connacht. One could also say the narrator at the end of Myth II is proof that Soulblighter was not the leveller because of what he says, but remember -- It is not imperitive that the leveller survives the war. The hero of light in 1000 years won't fight him anyway, just as Connacht fought Moagim Reborn, not Moagim.

So here we go...

Soulblighter might have been the leveller. Damas was just as much a prime candidate for the job as Connacht was, since he fought by Connacht with all the same hatred for the dark.

Since Mjarin, not Moagim Reborn, was the leveller in M3, it COULD be possible that the leveller is always someone that seemslike unlikely -- Mjarin actually served the king of the light even though he had to kill him eventually. Perhaps it's the Leveller's way of disguising itself: Have someone else look like you and do the dirty work so they die, and you can stick around to destroy everything a bit more. In this case Balor seems like the leveller because he leads the Fallen, including Soulblighter. Yet as Moagim destroyed the world so Mjarin didn't have to do much to win the war, Balor destroyed the Cath Bruig and brought several powerful races to the side of the dark, so Soulblighter would have little work to do when his time came.

It's a probable theory, since we have no details of the wars of the past, and we only know who the heroes and villains are -- nothing tells us what went on during the struggle. In a few thousand years, nobody will remember the great war. They'll all just think Alric = good guy, Soulblighter = Bad Guy. Perhaps when Tireces defeated Sorangath, he had been fighting what he thought to be the Leveller for years, and just when the war seemed over, Sorangath rose up and saw his chance to defeat Tireces.

Mjarin didn't launch his attack on the light until after Moagim Reborn was killed, and the armies of the light were almost entirely decimated. Likewise, Soulblighter's attack came after Balor's defeat, and Humanity was so weakend by the previous war, that Soulblighter could pretty much accomplish in a matter of months what took Balor more than a century.

In this case, Soulblighter is Damas Reborn, and Balor is NOT Connacht, because Connacht died a mortal death and was never ressurected by the Leveller.

So who is Balor then? The same thing Moagim Reborn was -- a Mage with more charisma than the true Leveller. He unleahses hell and enlists the help of races with exponential power (in comparison to walking dead), so the Leveller can plow through the world with relative ease.

Sorry if I'm a little hard to understand, I'm tired. If you want me to, I can rewrite this later.
