Ages and ages and ages ago (I think in the Age of Reason) there was a website with rules for a Myth e-RPG; that is a Role playing game for Myth that took place on the internet.
However it never really got started. So I am gonne be making up a new one, but not an e-RPG, a proper one. One that doesn't have anything to do with the internet apart from the fact that you will be able to download the rules from it.
For anyone who doesn't know what an RPG is, it means that you choose a world wher the RPG is going to be set (eg Myth) and then make a character to fit in that world, eg a berserk hero who's parents were slaughtered by a nasty brigand leader who you want to kill! You roll lots of dice to see how good your characters are in different areas like shooting, hand-to-hand combat, intelligence etc and then the gamesmaster (story-teller) makes up a story based in the world and you take the part of the main characters along with your friends.
Right. When I started making it up I found things difficult as I knew little of the Myth world. So then I came here and went insane, but in the process I discovered what Myth was all about. Now I have a huge book full of notes I have made from this forum and other sources (like the games themselves) and I am ready to write up a storyline from the begining to where Chimera leaves off. I will be posting lots of messages on this forum about things I am not sure about, and I hope some of you will answer.
When I have completed the (hopefully) huge storyline, I will go on to make the rules for the RPG itself and make a website with them on. It will involve fighting some battles with Games-Workshop style miniatures (for anyone who knows what they are) to represent the war-torn Myth world. Ha.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go and eat some cardboard.
