New Stuff from the article!

A few gross mispellings aside (Domas, and "Ravana" listed as Myrkridian, isntead of Myrmidon captain) it's a good interview. A couple of the more notable things and my comments on them:

Dwarven Smiths have flamethrowers and are apparently not the spider cultists or Smiths of Muirthenme. This brings up the question of where the heck they went in later ages. The only rational explanation is that they were never at the front lines of combat… but then why would they be here?

A great description of the new Savage Wind Dream for the ghol shaman. One wonders whether they'll implement GURP's idea that dreams are learned from certain "sources" and thus they learned it from the Crom Whatever idol they have. I also think this might be the first time we've seen a dream in the hands of a non Avatara or fallen lord.

We all know of the Trow Iron Warriors… but a new type of Trow is mentioned, a Trow Priest. Presumably in service to Nyx, this seems to negate the Trow-don't-have-magic rule of later Myth and GURPS. I wonder what their spells (if they indeed have spells) will be…

The most interesting bit though is the Spider Cult as a new "faction" (their word, not mine). The article speaks of the spiders we know and love… but also names their god, a certain "Sykrosh" (hopefully not another misspelling ;P). It also talks of "fast melee units" and the actual preistesses (notice the femininity), but not in a dwarven way. It compares the priestesses to dwarven demolitionists in their attacks, but refers to the whole group as "freaks" which suggests humans, not dwarves. So perhaps they aren't psychotic dorfs after all… also if you come into direct conflict with them (which it seems you would), one wonders why "Connacht ignored them" for as long as he could. They obviously provided him with his little toys, but why would they do so if they fought against him?
