Well, nothing to do with Myth III in fact.
Its an observation.
As I'm sure you've all noticed, all sunlight in-game in Myth comes from one source - the North East, as determined by the direction in which shadows are cast.
Let me speculate a little on the ramifications of this. If Mythworld is, in fact, round like Earth (and Earth _is_ round dammit), then the myth continent is in the Southern Hemisphere!! As an antipodean myself, I rejoice in this. Furthermore, all battles were fought at 10am, or with night missions the moon was always in that position.
Of course it is possible that mythworld is flat, or some other shape. It is also possible that the sun is always in the same position in the sky, but periodically turns itself on and off to produce day and night.
Regardless of this, there is one unassailable fact this reveals. The north will not be "frozen", but will in fact be a hotter, more desert-like or subtropical climate than the Province. The myth of the frozen north is an error perpetuated by parochial northern-hemisphere dwellers.
