A Question about the (Un) Dead

Just a question about the Myth world, and certain things in it.

Firstly, with Soulblighter and the Fallen Lords dead, is it still possible to raise the dead? I mean, could Thrall and Wights still be created by someone who wasn't a Fallen Lord, such as a Necromancer or an Avatara?

Secondly- Heron Guard are human, I'd assume, so they experience all of the normal human emotions such as lust, jealousy etc? I am just thinking, as sworn defenders, would they be shining examples of humanity (such as Paladins in AD&D). OK, enough beating around the bush. I want to know, can Heron Guard/J-Men by corrupted by any means short of a Binding Dream?
