As we all know by now, Nyx in the myth universe is a female god. However something which some of you might not know is that Nyx comes from greek mythology where she was the embodiment of night, daughter of chaos, and sister/wife of Erebus (the darkness of the underword). More notably, she was the mother of important dieties such as Aether, Thanatos, and Hypnos (heaven, death, and sleep respectively) amoung scores of minor gods.
Now, if Nyx's gender is the same as it was in the mythology from which it was drawn from, should we not assume that the same is true for Wyrd? For a long time most of us have referred to Wyrd as a male diety, but I beleive that as Wyrd was the Norse god of fate and mother of the norns, we really should assume that she was a female rather than vice versa.
