You guys seemed to have missed Ares's post since there are no reactions to this, here is a re-post:

Been talking to Milk Man quite a bit about how to give all the heroes some character. Finally got some great ideas for the warriors. They are St. Perseant and St. Palomedes, two brothers of a holy order. These two entered the catacombs for their own agenda... though honored to be part of the fighting force to recover The Head, they also enter to bring back a relic of their religion. This relic could either be an amulet (some kind of Wyrd symbol, not a cross or anything from an earth religion) or a helm or a shield, but it would be a defensive artifact. At one point, you get to either a lightning barrier or some SB firebursts, and only the holy warrior with the artifact can pass safely. Then this guy must figure out how to shut it down so the others may pass. The artifact has target multipliers of 0.3 for everything, so the warrior who has it takes less than 1/3 damage from everything.
Now, when you get to the part where the units are getting killed as they are chased down the hallway,
when one of the brothers dies (the one without the amulet), the other turns around to avenge his death. Since he has the artifact, and he'll also go berserk at this point with Scripting Magicô, he'll be able to inflict some real damage on the tro. This is also the part where Trahern turns around. Both get killed,but bring down one tro. This will also make it much easier to script Truan to survive the tro attack when he's forced to attack, since there'll be only one.
They could also have a special ability - a blue flameburst that takes down ghosts and undead, sort ofexorcism / holy-bolt but its not the same as the Warcraft / Diablo versions of these - looks much cooler in fact, and has different physics and uses.
So, the warrior-saints are brothers, they have a little backstory of a Crusade into the untamed lands in their flavor text, and they have some personality now. Now to get to work on the Bowmen ;)
Milk Man: hmmm a crusade into the untamed lands? To do what? The only thing we know about the untamed lands if that Soulblighter's dark temple is there, and the light doesnt seem to be aware of it's existance.. so what are they crusading against?
