You're right, but if Alric could kill him very easy(using his normal sword or his loyal Herons) why he didn't do it? Why did he used all his powers and all powers of Balmung to damage SB if he had his loyal herons and zerks with him? They could kill him very easy.
Why did Deceiver used this lighting spell, why he didn't send zerks to make him damage and than when he turned in crows he could catch one of them? Why?

Mb, mb not. I think that SB didn't saw that Balmung was broken. Or Alric was great avatara, great king and great emperor, so he could finish him without others artifacts.
I think he had a lot of spells and he could use them on him.
