About the Balor- Alric battle stuff, i have an idea. Maybe, just maybe as sugested in another theory, Balor was not accustomed to advanced tactics (meaning he didnt think Alric would sacrifice the legion to destroy him) Thats why Balor says "The rest of your legion has been destroyed Alric! What more can you do with this pitiful band?"
Apparently he doesnt understand Alric's stratedy, maybe he had defeated Moagim Reborn in a conventional battle, throwing his army at him instead of sneaking in a small force and sacrificing the rest, or something in that sense.
Just ideas in my little brain :)
