Reconscideration and Withdrawal

I posted the following at MythWolfAge.com and thought I should post it here as well:

After careful reconscideration, I withdraw my earilier statements relating to the story of Myth III and its conformity with the present story. I realized that a change of the story is never for the worst, except in some instances in Myth II :-), but MJ is definitely working hard to make a good story.

Therefore, if the story is changed, I will be pleased to find these changes, pleasantly surprised. Since the history of Sword Age Myth merely comes from hearsay, legend, and rumor, a lot of the true history could have been lost by those years. The change in history by Myth III would then become truth, better map out the story, cycle, etcetera. Working within the tight boundaries of the existing story and the outlandish possibilities of the untold story, I found that something better must come, and that tiresome reitteration of the story I already know will be a waste.

I realized much of this, unconciously, when I read GURPS, recently bought. Forrest had already told or recounted the story to me in such detail, it seemed I knew it by heart, and reading GURPS was little more than a refresher, if that. I am therefore greatly welcoming to a fresh and new story, a great tale, and all the new and wonderful possibilities that will come from Myth III. As long as the story makes at least as much sense as the present one, I will be overjoyed.

Some things, such as the Dwarven Mymbol, can be explained and still conformed to the present story. For instance, the Myrgardians may become exclusively paratroopers, or something, or the paratrooper Dwarves of Olde could have settled Myrgard. I think either is a feasible and interesting idea, and this would allow for newer and more interesting possibilites with the symbol.
Shiver being Light in Myth III might help to fix that problem with her having two souls by Myth II, Ravanna and Culweh, or something like that. GURPS suggests this, and I believe that GURPS is beginning to get on my nerves.

In any case, I have fully reconscidered the scene of Myth III, hoping for newer and better things, at least as evident as from the graphics already displayed. I withdraw my former proposition.
