More Legends and Lore Errors

Sorry Forrest, I just love power.

On the description of "Walls of Muirthemne", in the section about similarities between Cath Bruig culture and that of the Anceint Egyptians, you mention a god called "Ibis" that judged the dead.

Now, what the hell is that? You're probably thinking of Thoth, who has the head of an Ibis. He was the god of scribes, and, I believe, the moon. But he doesn't judge the dead. A lot of gods have to do with the judging of souls, with Anubis working the scales, Thoth writing the results down, and Osiris, lord of the afterlife, presiding over the whole thing, but no god actually did the judging. The deceased (or, as the Egyptians said, 'the justified')'s heart was placed on a scale along with the feather of truth (connected with Ma'at, goddess of tru7h... err... truth). If the heart was lighter than the feather, the justified got to go to the afterlife. If not, the Devourer eats them. So it goes.

Anyway, I probably went into waaay too much detail there, but I makes me upset when people get stuff wrong about Egypt.
