More Ammo For Uber-Theory

Remind me to write a Delusions article about this soon...

You all know my uber-theory, right? That ties the Dwarves, the Spiders, the Fetch, the Callieach, the Trow, the Great Devoid, the Dark Gods, the Ghols, the Tain, and everything all together? Well, I actually found a bit of evidence for the Dark Gods = Spider Gods bit.

In "The Ibis Crown", there are those murals at the end. One depics humans fighting against Ghols - and the face beneath it seems pleased. The next mural depics humans that look like they're coming to some sort of a truce- and the face is evil and angry. Thinking that these could depics Light and Dark scenes, I got to thinking, why is the face happy at Dark but angry at Light?

Well, then it occurred to me who BUILT those catacombs - the Dwarven Spider Cults, the Smiths of Muirthemne. So they could be depicting the Spider Gods' displeasure at human peace, and their happiness at war.

But then the Ghols part struck me - Ghols aren't a notoriously dark, evil race, so why have them as the enemy in that mural? Then I remembered my Spider Gods = Dark Gods theory. The Ghols worship the Dark Gods. So the Smiths' Spider Gods would be happy with Ghols attacking humans, because the the Ghols are their kin as well.

All this makes me wonder, though, if the Dwarven Smiths knew the Ghols worshipped their gods, why do Ghols and Dwarves have such hatred for eachother?
