We all know the allmighty GURPS says Balmung is the greatest weapon in the Myth World which is true besides all that Bow of Furious Incandecense arguement. Well does GURPS states that Balmung still exists after the War with SB. I always though that Alrc just kinda drop Balmung b/c he chased SB into Tharsis. But it there more to it.
Why would Alric ever drop such a powerful item. Yes it is probably for fairness in the last lvl which is extremely difficult but I watched in slow motion on Twice Born today. Alric talks to SB, Fights Myrks, Almost dies of Mahir etc.. All goes normal even up to fight with SB. When SB is reduced to Half Health by the immensly powerful sword he runs and alric seems to drop the sword. However the sword he drops has seem to lost its brilliant gold luster and seems to be broken in half.
What this means is that Alric used all of Balmungs power to reduce SB down to Half Health and in the end broke it and gave chase to SB. However then again it could just be some funky sprite action on the side of a hill or something. But personally I think Balmung is no more thus no more arguements about which is more powerful b/c Balmung doesnt exsist anymore. Give some commentary about what you think.
