Shiver/Culweh/The Voiceless One/Ravanna

First, an important statement:
The only primary source for Myth's storyline is the game itself. Anything else, like GURPS, is, at best, a secondary source. GURPS, seeing as how it's not meant to be much more than a Role Playing Game book, is really no more than a third source, yet it has had a lot of very interesting and valuable information. This can make it to a secondary source SOMETIMES. Unfortunetly, too many people have used GURPS as a primary source, even saying it is more truthful than the game itself! A prime example of this is believing that The Deceiver is living directly after m2, when in fact we saw him die. The guy who wrote that part had not finished the m2 level "Shiver." Had he, he would not have said that Dec was doing fine and well. Then the argument comes, "Well, if Bungie let that slip, then there must be a reason! Maybe he's actually still alive. THEY NEVER SAID!" We saw it ourselves. Maybe he would have found a way to cheat death in some way or another, but The Deceiver, for all intensive purposes, is dead! So why did Bungie let it slip? BECAUSE IT DIDN'T MATTER! GURPS is no more than a simple role playing game, *based* off of the original: no matter how close or how accurate or how interesting its information may be to what is true, IT IS NOT TRUTH! Truth is the game and the actual intent of the creators and writers. GURPS is no more than a thing used to inspire ideas for ROLE PLAYING GAMES BASED off of the original, though it has been instrumental in bringing a lot of basic Myth history info to the masses, and has equally inspired them to interesting theories (hence our lovely forum here:-)
Ares, amen, brother!

Believe or not, this leads into Shiver. GURPS suggests either of the following possiblities:
The Voiceless One is the same person as Shiver.
The Voiceless One is NOT the same person as Shiver.
Well, then what is the reason for thinking that they probably are different people as opposed to going with the proverbial flow? It's far more likely that they just changed the name from The Voiceless One in the prerelease to Shiver (in part trying to move away from The Black Company, I suspect.) Then they added The Voiceless One into the plot, saying she was an older incarnation of the same spirit as Shiver. Here is the basic chronology of Shiver, as borrowed from Forrest:

Sometime during or before the Wind Age, Ravanna is born (though this is probably not her "true name"). She becomes known as The Voiceless One (probably having the Whisper Dream), the same as Connacht becomes known as Balor, Mydred The Deceiver, Bahl'al The Watcher, etcetera. She becomes dead, "cast into eternal sleep," during the Wind Age. She is then reincarnated as Culweh (also probably not the secret true name, seeing as it is well known). Culweh invents Wights. Culweh came to serve Moagim Reborn at some time. Whether before or after this, she becomes known as Shiver. (I am guessing the origin of her name comes from the fact that she uses Tremor Dreams, causing people to shake, and shiver the ground. In tandem with the rumbling she causes, she could also have been known as Shiver because she created the explosive, rumbling Wights. All of these defeated, she was horribly ugly and made Moagim Reborn cringe). She was killed again, cast into the "aether," or death once more. Again, she was reincarnated by Balor to serve him as a Fallen Lord, she being an ancient evil and likely to help a Leveler. In the Great War's Battle for Madrigal, Rabican defeated Shiver by somehow exploiting her vanity (there have been theories that, since Shiver was obviously not very attractive, though may have been for being a Fallen Lord, she probably saw herself as being very attractive because of some kind of eye-clouding spell over her eyes. Rabican lifted this, essentially making her incredibly weak at the sight of her true self). Rabican effectively killed Shiver, separating her soul from her body. The soul was cast into the aether of death again.
Ever try to reinitialize your Hard Drive several times? Ever notice how it becomes impossible or very difficult to reinitialize it after a certain number of times? I suspect this is something similar with reincarnating souls, like Shiver's. Soulblighter needs Tramsits mirror this time to put her soul back together, reflecting her soul into something physical and real (and very ugly). (The above is kind of a joke, about the reinitialization; Soulblighter may have simply not wanted to wait for her soul to mature in a young body, may have not had the ability to reincarnate souls without Tramsits Mirror, or any number of possibilities, seeing as how the other incarnations were far less specific.) So, Shiver is reincarnated by Soulblighter. Ravanna was her oldest name, and the other Fallen Lords probably called her that as a common name (hence in "Shiver": "Wouldn't you agree, Ravanna?" says Dec).

Further about her being called "Ravanna" by Dec in m2, this may not have been her regular common name for all the Fallen, but maybe Myrdred knew her back when she was The Voiceless One. Who knows; maybe Myrdred was older than the time of Connacht, back with Ravanna and Bahl'al…just a thought.
