Claws on the hands and hooves on the feet???
THIS CREATURE RUNS COUNTER TO EVERY KNOWN LAW OF ADAPTIVE EVOLUTION ;-)
If so: how? It looks like the have no mechanical advantage for any of the teeth in their mouths. They would be ill suited to chewing and food would just drop out through the, missing, floor of their mouth.
Are their mouth teeth prey capture teeth? But somewhat vestigial?
Do they have grinding teeth in their throats or the back of the mouth? https://www.deepseanews.com/2009/06/all-the-better-to-eat-you-with-my-dear/
Or do they have gizzards?
My vote is for pharyngeal teeth cause they are cool (and a bit alien-ey)
Are their throats very extensible and they tilt their heads back and let the food drop into the throat?
Do they use their hands?
Do they have pharyngeal jaws like moray eels? https://www.wired.com/2014/04/absurd-creature-of-the-week-this-eel-fires-extra-alien-jaws-out-of-its-throat/
I don't think that their mouth fingers are up to the task. Maybe they are but it would be messy.
My memories have fades but in Halo 2 or 3, the Elites' throats looked segmented from below as if there could be branchial arches and pharyngeal teeth in there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_jaw
Do Elites hold bowls of food with their mouth fingers and eat out of it with their pharyngeal jaws. Or would that be considered low class? Only country bumpkins or trailer trash do that.
