: at it in Chief's video, then you'll notice that a large junk has been shot
: off the back of the helmet's left-back side.
: What could it mean? And why is it shot off in MC's video and not Locke's,
: where it would make more sense?

What if the Master Chief trailer is Locke's recollection of what happened (Master Chief giving a monologue like a Bond villain), and Locke's trailer was from the Chief's perspective? So they each view the other as this monster that's trying to rationalize their actions with this big speech, pointing their gun at the person who's "telling" the story. Chief still views himself as doing the right thing, so in his recollection, the statue is more or less intact. Locke on the other hand views Chief as flawed, so in the telling where he recounts Chief pointing the gun at him, the statue is flawed and broken.
