Halo costumes on the "not so" cheap | |

I traditionally make Halo costumes for Purim, the vaguely Halloween-esque Jewish holiday. This year was no different. Behold, my Jackal costume: I used a metal hairband and feathers for the Mohawk; face paint, (overpriced) spray paint, and posterboard for the shield; and an A-shirt, cardboard, and construction paper for the armor and plasma pistol. I had almost none of this stuff before, and had to either overpay or buy too much of almost everything, making the costume $40. On the plus side, it probably took me more time to make a BR last year than for my whole costume this year (10-20 hours).
