ODST date inconsistency

I'm aware that the Mombasa Slispace event is obviously supposed to take place on October 20, as evidenced by multiple sources. However, there's one thing that makes this kind of uncertain. It's been pointed out before, but I'd just like to see some clarification. In the behind the scenes video of Halo 3: ODST's voice acting, on 0:45, one can see a glimpse of the game's script. It's from the part where Rookie wakes up, and it clearly says October 23, 2552. Is this source is notable? Is it a misprint or something, or should it be regarded as official canon? I'm not sure. I wonder why they didn't add the date to the game itself, would've made this much more clear.
