How is it the Grunts speak English and not Gruntese, the Elites speak some sort of language lacking in clear consonants (sounds like they're always saying "MOVE EM OUT," but it's really distored), Jackals sound like skreetching cats, and Hunters have nothing to say except to laugh when they kick your a$$.

WRT Grunts, if one were to take the language issue seriously, either 1) the foreign lanugage skills of Grunts is so advanced they can pick up English effortlessly, 2) they have had extensive contact with English speaking humans, or 3) for some bizzare reason, they study English as a 2nd language.

Of course one can't really take the language issue seriously. Making Grunts say stupid things in English is strictly an entertainment issue.
