Huge Halo Theory *BIG SP* *LONG READ*
Posted By: Xcruiser <john.lagaipa@verizon.net>Date: 2/12/02 4:21 p.m.

This theory is Copyright ©2002 by Xcruiser. :)

Alright, I wrote this all out by hand when I got an idea of what could have have happened way long ago. This is basically an evolutionary theory from when the ForeRunner came in contact with the Flood, all the way until when the Covenant vow to destroy Humankind. Brace yourself, here goes:

I'm doing this in small paragraph form...somewhat like a timeline, without dates though.

-----------------------

Scene: ForeRunner Homeworld. Asteroid with tons of Flood Spores crashed into ForeRunner Homeworld.

Small battle ensues between Flood Spores and ForeRunner. Small population of ForeRunner infected by Flood, and turned into Warrior Forms. Battle between Flood and ForeRunners escalates and many ForeRunner casualties are had, but results in a ForeRunner victory.

ForeRunners capture left over Flood in order to study them.

Flood outbreak occurs on ForeRunner Homeworld, causing casualties, but the outbreak is contained eventually.

ForeRunner decide that the Flood is too dangerous to study on their Homeworld.

ForeRunner build multiple ringworlds on outtermost edge of the galaxy as research installations for the Flood.

Ringworlds equipped with powerful outbreak suppressive weapons to neutralize any Flood that could escape from an installation to the Homeworld.

Researchers and Scientists placed on Halo, accompanied by AI Systems to control installations, and assist in containment if Flood escape.

Flood outbreak occurs on Installation 04, Combat Sentinels go to contain Flood but are easily destroyed. The Monitor of the Installation places a distress call to the Homeworld stating that the Flood have escaped and are prepared to leave Halo.

ForeRunners recieve distress call and advance to Installation 04 with hopes of containing the Flood once more.

The Monitor, Control Sentinels, and surviving ForeRunner lock themselves inside Installation 04's control room.

The Monitor tracks Flood movement off of Halo and towards the ForeRunner Homeworld.

The Monitor views the space battle commencing between Flood and ForeRunner, but notices the Flood boarding ForeRunner ships and destroying them. After a rather dismal period of time, ForeRunner sway the battle in their direction unbeknownst to The Monitor.

The Monitor decides that the ForeRunner sent to aid them are about to be completely destroyed, and requests that Halo be activated at once before the Flood get any closer to the ForeRunner Homeworld.

Rebuttle from ForeRunner in Installation 04's control room stating that their brethren can handle the Flood is stated to The Monitor. The Monitor convinces them that it is a lost battle and persuades them to activate Halo before it's too late.

Installation 04 warms up and begins to fire just as they recieve word from the ForeRunner space fleet that the Flood have been neutralized out in space. Flood and ForeRunner alike within Installation 04's radii are vaporized.

Covenant Scouts pick up a huge disturbance lightyears away and decide to find out what's going on.

Covenant Scouts enter ForeRunner space in search of what happened. Another Installation's Monitor picks up movement of unknown aircraft heading towards the ForeRunner Homeworld. In fear that the Flood has indeed made it past the ForeRunner Fleet sent out, the Installation warms up and fires their shockwave to destroy the supposed Flood that escaped.

Covenant pick up readings that their scouts have disappeared out of thin air violently. Covenant sends huge space armada to check out what happened.

Installation's Monitor picks up more movement and fires again destroyed the front part of the Covenant's fleet.

Covenant destroys the Installation once they find it and move forward.

ForeRunner Homeworld alerted that one of the Ringworlds has been destroyed and that a huge unknown fleet is headed towards them.

ForeRunner send out another space fleet to combat whatever is coming.

Covenant and ForeRunner battle it out, but the Covenant is too strong and overruns them. ForeRunner Homeworld glassed by Covenant, but huge losses taken after other Installations fire.

Few other Installations are destroyed by the Covenant, then they move on to find any ForeRunner survivors.

ForeRunner approach Covenant fleet with an enormous fleet of their own and destroy everything but one Covenant craft. ForeRunner commandeer ship and find the Covenant Homeworld.

ForeRunners release the Flood on the Covenant Homeworld.

Enormous battle ensues after Covenant Homeworld manages to stop the Flood.

Covenant send everything they have at the ForeRunner and destroy them completely.

Covenant set up a search and destroy mission for any remaining ForeRunner and eventually find a Human colonized planet. Covenant glass the planet seeing that it looked ForeRunner colonized.

Covenant eventually meet strong Human resistance while glassing Planet Reach, and follow Pillar of Autumn through slipstream.

Covenant find another Installation like the one they've destroyed before, but it doesn't fire and kill them. Covenant land on installation and try to figure out what it is.

Pillar of Autumn comes into Installation 04's space, and the Covenant have beaten them here.

Pillar of Autumn comes under fire and crashlands on Installation 04(Halo) after numerous lifepods manage to land safely on Halo.

------------------------------------

That's my enormous read...even if this theory isn't 100% accurate, or even close to what Bungie has in mind, I still think it was an interesting theory to present to all of you. Hope you enjoyed it. :)
