2old2play Pwnathon 2009

Hope you remember 2old2play's Pwnathon charity drive from last year where people made bunch of halo challenges and donated if the challenges were met. Well this year they're back, bigger, better and more kick ass. Below is the official announcement, however if you're like me you'd rather first watch the teaser trailer =) Official Announcement: -------------------------- 2old2play.com's Pwnathon 2009 It started with a friend in need... In early 2008 the 2old2playHalo clan decided to help out one of their own. They had a fundraiser unlike any before it. They saw a challenge and pwned it. Then a community was was challenged to do it again... During the summer of 2008, that clan challenged 2old2play.com to help them raise funds for PKDcure.org. With activities like custom map contests, wacky challenges, and auctions, this gaming community came together for a worthy cause. The response was overwhelming. The members of 2old2play not only met the goal set before them, they tripled it. For 2009 we have a new challenge... This year, the challenge is from 2old2play.com. The event is building on it's past success and has grown from its humble beginning. Members from all across the 2old2play community are working together to make this July the Month of Pwn. The event will close at 2old2play.com's annual Lan Party. Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and many other games will be represented in the activities. The challenge this year will fall directly in the gamers' wheelhouse also: Child's Play. Where Gamers Give Back. Since 2003, over 100,000 gamers worldwide have banded together through Child’s Play, a community based charity grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Over 3.5 million dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in children's hospitals across North America and the world have been collected since it's inception. The event has grown, but it's still the same. Gamers helping gamers. More information will be coming out on this unique event.
