How embarrassing, someone beat me to it. Anyways: We're very happy to finally release our most ambitious project to date at High Speed Halo: a segmented full game run of Halo 2 on legendary, in 1:30:29. You heard that right. 90 minutes. On Legendary. That's 28 minutes faster than all the times currently on the times page, and more than twice as fast as my no death single segment run that made the guinness book of world records. A segmented speedrun differs from a normal speedrun, in that you can split the game into segments so that you can save your progress, and repeat parts until they are perfect. Using this, we were able to throw down the absolute craziest tricks and shortcuts you can think of. You'll see grenade jumping, sword flying and sword canceling, superbouncing, pressure launching, glitching the fall timer, abuse of collision detection, luck manipulation, AI abuse, checkpoint glitching, loading zone manipulation, NPC cloning, vehicle launching, and some stuff that hasn't been seen anywhere else, and is totally new to even us. Needless to say, if you don't like glitches in your speedruns, this may not be the video for you. The following people contributed segments to the run: Cody Miller, djDAP, Goatrope, Louis Wu (yes it's true), NOKYARD, and Scurty. ou can grab the full game run from Archive.org or SDA on the Halo 2 Game page. If you'd like to just watch individual levels, you can do that too at our page on High Speed Halo. You should really download the whole thing though. It's more entertaining than the Watchmen, and it's half as long to boot. You can also swing by the thread on our forums for links and a bit of info about the project's history. Included in the SDA and Archive.org downloads is a commentary embedded as a second audio track. You can also grab the commentary track from our page on High Speed Halo. We think it's fun and informative, and in it we talk about the project, our approaches, the tricks, glitches and strategies we use, and some other fun stuff.
