Drawings - The sketch

This is a project i started about 12/27 and finished drawing and shadowing on 12/29 I never knew i could draw this well till i tried. If you think you suck at drawing, think again. Though i'm better at shadowing than drawing. So i will show you from step one of how i did this, and also to see if you can draw like you thought you couldn't. show off your work on this forum. You can choose ether the spartan, elite or both. I chose an elite than a spartan for i think the face is easier to draw than a spartan. But you may think otherwise. I used this already drawn image for a reference. From Drop Box I used a standard No. 2 pencil on drawing paper. Though just scratch paper will do fine. I started out with the front of the helmet. and finished the back spikes last. At first i doodled thinking it will look 2D. Till i got to the mouth. This was my first attempt at 3D drawing. From Drop Box Next i copied the shadows. I drew them lightly with the pencil and used paper to smear it around. I also added lighting effects. if you can tell from the bright spots on his helmet the light it from the upper right. I was meant to have him hold a marine up to a wall and have his sword up high with the tips point almost at you, but I'm not that good. At least of what i know of so far. From Drop Box This is just the top right panel. The lower panels where not scanned during the process. Fixed the hand and shaded it. This is the final before i put the entire thing together. From Drop Box So i finished the chest and right arm which you can see in the full image. It turned out like this. From Drop Box The chest could use some work. But i'm happy.
