In Response To: forerunner or human??? (carlos gonzalez) : Ive kind of noticed that 343 guiltyspark is an ai but cortana is too,it would : look as if cortana is more advanced than guiltyspark because she looks : more human and is a hologram,343 on the other hand is a big floating ball : that can shoot a laser and last longer than 7 years(estimated life span of : a human ai construct). But cortana can hack almost anything and is capable : of infiltrating battlenets and decode secret covenant messages, plus she : can tap into forerunner data and learn all of this information,so what do : u guys think? I think alot of it is function before form in 343 GS- an AI with no physical presence is like a general who sits 5 miles behind the front lines sipping champagne- not useful. And since 343 controls all the Sentinals, its a similar idea, accept that instead of his fighting prowess, on the fly commands and inspiration that a human general would have, its just the first two. in summary to my little rant- 343 has much more of a milatary role than Cortana. I also think that 343 GS can most likely hack anything, as we saw him do in the PoA, and Cortana didn't really hack/tap into anything Forerunner I don't think- she got inserted into the core (or whatever) fair and square. I think its all down to the military role of 343 GS, and also because at the end of the day, if you've got a body you can just do more stuff (granted Jean-Dominique Bauby managed to write a book with Locked-In syndrome, but I get the feeling that was pretty F*****g difficult :P)
