Jumping on the Panoramic Bandwagon (tm)
Posted By: HaLo2FrEeEk <halo2freeek@gmail.com>Date: 4/18/08 8:25 a.m.

I decided to go ahead and break out of all 3 of the new maps and make some pano's (oddly, when I was trying to get out of Avalanche for the first time, I wasn't even thinking about panorama's, but watching the film later I decided to go ahead and try my hand, and man is it fun! I've gotten out of all 3 maps within a day of having gotten them. I made the mistake the first time around of taking too many pictures on Avalanche and some got overwritten, so I went ahead and created a script that would check my screenshot feed on bungie every hour and if there are any new ones, it'll transfer them to my server, that way I lose nothing since the names are all unique. Anyways though, I wanted to share my first hand at creating some of these. I used Photoshop CS3 for all except the Avalanche one, for that one I used Autostitch, and I did nothing to "fix" them, I left the colors as is. So without further ado, here we go:

.:Avalanche:

This one's 3323x2410, and I used a total of 9 screenshots.

.:Blackout:

This one is a massive 10430x1050, and I used only 7 screenshots.

This one's 3951x2097, and I used 14 screenshots.

.:Ghost Town:

And finally this one weighs in at 5429x2001, and I used a whopping 24 screenshots.

So what do you all think of my first few tries? I think I still need to get angle down, but there wasn't much room to manuever, especially in Ghost Town.
