If you DO have a version registered on your computer, but it doesn't read .pptx files (we're still talking Windows-based computers now), you can grab the Office Compatibility Pack. Goes back to Office 2000, or so. If you're a Mac user, and you have Office, visit this page, and download the Microsoft Office Open XML File Format Converter for Mac (bottom of the page, right side). This will convert .pptx files to .ppt files. (Also .docx files to .doc, etc.) If you're a Mac user, and you don't have PowerPoint, you can download the above converter, AND the PowerPoint 98 Viewer for Macintosh - the first should convert the files into something the second can read. If you're a unix user, you're on your own. :)
