I was excited to hear that VGL NYC tix were going on sale until I saw the venue - Beacon Theater. I know for some NYers this would amount to sacrilege, but I'm not a fan of the Beacon Theater at all. It's acoustics are horrible. It sounds so damn tinny - if you happen to get seats beyond a certain range, you lose all bass.
When I saw it at that Yale venue w/ Claude a few months back, the sound was just great - and due to seating shenanigans I got to hear it from 3 varied spots. No problems really. The Beacon though? Oy vey! If you luck out and get seat in the first 10 rows or so, it may be fine. Otherwise - all bets are off. Again, IMHO!
